Sunday Brunch

Good morning!

I enjoyed the most delectable Sunday brunch yesterday at my very favorite place to go for brunch ever! ♡ La Villa Restaurant located in Philbrook Museum of Art.

I love going to Philbrook! Whether it’s sitting outside picnicking on the beautiful grounds Friday nights in July for the Philbrook Films on the lawn or sitting inside viewing the lush gardens outside while savoring the Sunday brunch, going to Philbrook has always been a special treat for me.

From seafood to chocolate, I can always find plenty to fill my plate (s). In fact, my eyes are usually bigger than my stomach.

My mother always told me, “Take all you want, but eat what you take.” Sometimes it’s difficult not to be greedy and want an overabundance of the luxuries in life. I do love chocolate!  ♡ But too much of anything is never good.

Let’s not go through life as if it were an all you can eat buffet. Taking and taking and taking more than we need. Always give back. Let’s appreciate what we are given, and always remember to do things in moderation.  Everything we have is a gift from God. Let’s be thankful for our blessings. There is more to life than simply our earthly possessions.

Unlike the chocolate I can’t seem to resist at the dessert table, there are no calories in the sweets that God offers us. Love. Take it freely and give it equally freely. It’s one sweet thing you don’t have to go to Sunday brunch to savor! ♡

Then He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.”
Luke 12:15

Love and laughter,

Sandy
