Good morning!

Pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin bread from Starbucks, Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino from QuickTrip, home made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies from my own kitchen, and pumpkin pancakes from Mimi’s. These are a few of my favorite things of fall. ♡

It’s officially pumpkin season! 🙂
As of September 5th, Starbucks began selling their pumpkin spice lattes.  If it’s official with Starbucks,  it’s official!

Do you have an affinity for pumpkins like I do?

What’s your favorite thing about pumpkins?

Have you ever carved out a pumpkin? Given it a face? And placed a candle inside?

We used to do it every year when my children were young! 🙂

It’s such a great illustration of how God works in our lives.  He makes each of us. All different sizes and shapes. Just like the pumpkins. He reaches into our  messy lives and scoops out all the junk. He cleanses us out just like we do with those pumpkins.  Jesus came to cleanse away our sin. Then He fills us with light. Our candle is God’s love shining through from the inside out.

If you don’t already,  I encourage you to take part in pumpkin season!  Savor a warm pumpkin treat! 🙂 And find some children and carve a pumpkin and share the pumpkin gospel as you do it. And don’t forget to include your candle. It will make the season brighter! Let your light shine! 🙂

“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”
2 Corinthians 4:6

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
John 8:12

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16

Love and laughter,
