Congratulations to Maddee and Eric who moved this weekend from an apartment to a home. A beautiful home. A first home. A home with a yard for their 3 dogs. A home with a mortgage along with the title of homeowners. (Well done Dr.Eric Parker.) They are officially grownups. 🙂
The packing and cleaning prior to the move is never fun. The unpacking in the new location is usually way more fulfilling on the other end.
That’s how life should be.
Sometimes it’s not. In those times we still are best to move forward. Not look back at our falls, our mistakes, our losses, our failures. But instead learn something from them and begin again. Refresh. Renew. Restore. And move forward.
No one knows what lies ahead for this young couple. But they are reaching forward with their lives. With their education, their careers, their living spaces, and their plans for the future.
How about you?
Are you moving forward?
Never forget. Life is a journey not a destination. We are continually changing, evolving, becoming older and wiser.
I encourage each of you to listen to God. Find your direction and move forward. The sky’s your limit. Luke 1:37 tells us, “For nothing is impossible with God.”
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
