The Power Of THREE

Good morning!

Today is my grandson’s 3rd birthday!
I have 3 daughters.
Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights.
The devil tempted Jesus three times.
Peter denied Jesus three times then affirmed him three times.
There are three synoptic gospels and three epistles of John.
Father, Son and Holy Ghost = the Holy Trinity.
Three men were crucified at Christ’s death.
He was raised on the 3rd day.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
There are three branches to our government.
A nucleotide in DNA consists of three groups.
Earth is the 3rd planet from the sun.
There are three bases in baseball.
Three strikes and you’re out!
There are three outs per team in an inning.
Three goals by the same player in soccer is a hat trick.
There are three rings in a circus.
They say the third time’s a charm.
Bad luck comes in threes.
They were the Three Stooges.
They were the Three Musketeers.
And my all time favorite TV sitcom was Three’s Company.
Shall I go on?

The power of three.

I’ve always been rather fond of the number 3 myself, odd as it may be.  Of course,  I’m kind of biased towards it with 3 daughters and all.  But my very favorite threesome is and always will be the Father,  Son, and Holy Ghost. Now that’s the true power of three.

And we, too, can have that same power through Christ who lives in us through His Holy Spirit.  We can defeat any strongholds satan sends our way.  Let’s not let him attack our weaknesses.   Instead let’s give them to Christ to strengthen.   I intend to tap into that power source  every opportunity I can.  I hope you will too!

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will  boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit,”
Matthew 28:19

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.”.
2 Corinthians 13:14

Love and laughter,
